The Mahila Saarthi Initiative, under the Chamber of Business and Entrepreneur (India) Council (CBEIC), continues its mission to empower women through sustainable and safe mobility.
Today, an important training and interaction session was successfully conducted by Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited at the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) headquarters. The session was led by the Bharat Taxi Team, focusing on the onboarding of 50 female drivers who will soon join the Bharat Taxi platform as Mahila Saarthi Partners.
This event marks a new milestone in strengthening the CBEIC–Bharat Taxi partnership, dedicated to promoting women’s participation in India’s growing electric and cooperative mobility ecosystem.
👩🏫 Training and Discussion Highlights
During the session, the Bharat Taxi team conducted practical interactive discussions on:
- App registration and onboarding process,
- Vehicle operations for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers,
- Safety features including GPS tracking, emergency alert systems, and driver helpline,
- Customer engagement and service ethics for women drivers.
Participants shared their real-world experiences, expectations, and challenges faced during driving and onboarding. These insights will help design better facilitation and support frameworks for future Mahila Saarthi partners.
Several attendees also represented the Aatmnirbhar Organization, who had previously undergone foundational driver and vehicle training Program.

A total of 50 women drivers attended the session, representing both fresh trainees and trained candidates from Aatmnirbhar Organization.
They are now being processed for official onboarding under the Bharat Taxi App through the Mahila Saarthi framework.

The event served as both a training and dialogue platform, encouraging women to voice their ideas, challenges, and feedback to the Sahakar Taxi and Bharat Taxi teams.
The discussion helped identify key areas for improvement such as:
- Easier onboarding processes for new drivers,
- Support for electric vehicle access and maintenance,
- Financial assistance through cooperative linkages,
- Continued safety and self-defense training for female drivers.
The cooperative team appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants and reaffirmed their commitment to helping women build a dignified and sustainable career in the mobility sector.
